Preconstruction Manager

About the CompanyWe are representing a growing design-build general contractor with a strong presence across the Southeast, focused on industrial development including small-bay, distribution, and light industrial projects.About the RoleThis is a key hire within an expanding preconstruction team supporting a high-volume pipeline of ground-up work. The role will focus on both conceptual and hard bid estimating, working closely with internal leadership, developers, and operations teams to drive projects from early-stage budgeting through GMP.ResponsibilitiesLead conceptual and detailed estimating for ground-up industrial projectsDevelop budgets, takeoffs, and pricing strategies across multiple phases of preconstructionCollaborate with operations, design, and field teams to ensure alignment from precon through executionManage subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and scope analysisProvide value engineering recommendations and cost-saving strategiesSupport client interactions and help position projects for successful awardQualifications5–15+ years of preconstruction / estimating experience with a GC or design-build firmStrong experience with industrial construction (tilt-wall, precast, concrete structures)Comfortable operating in both conceptual and hard bid environmentsAbility to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced settingFamiliarity with regional subcontractor and pricing dynamics is highly valuedRequired SkillsThis is a high-visibility role within a growing platform, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the preconstruction function as the business continues to expand.
