This is a fast-response environment where the team may manage 10–30 active estimates at once, sometimes up to 50, with proposal turnarounds often expected within 5–10 days.What You’ll OwnBuild the estimating/preconstruction department from the ground upCreate SOPs, workflows, templates, review standards, and best practicesLead estimating across commercial restoration, reconstruction, renovation, and CapEx workSupport an operation producing up to 1,500 estimates per yearReview estimates for scope, pricing, exclusions, risk, constructability, and execution readinessSupport procurement, bid packages, vendor/subcontractor pricing, and project handoffMentor and develop estimating/preconstruction team membersWhat We’re Looking ForStrong commercial estimating / preconstruction leadership experienceExperience managing or reviewing estimating teamsAbility to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environmentCommercial construction, restoration, reconstruction, renovation, CapEx, or occupied-space experienceAbility to perform takeoffs independentlyExperience with tools such as Xactimate, Edge, Bluebeam, OST, Excel, or similarComfortable building process where no formal SOP currently existsCommercial experience requiredNational experience is a plus, not requiredRoofing experience is not requiredCompensation$160k–$185k base salaryHigh-visibility leadership roleOpportunity to build the department and process from the ground upBoca Raton preferred; Houston or Dallas may be consideredBest fit: A commercial estimating leader who can build the department, control heavy bid volume, review estimates fast, support procurement, lead people, and keep proposals moving without sacrificing accuracy.
