Fashion Design Internship

Role DescriptionThis is an on-site Fashion Design Internship based in New York, NY. We are seeking a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented fashion design student who is passionate about apparel, accessories, and home product categories.This internship is designed as a hands-on learning opportunity for school credit. The intern will gain exposure to fashion design, product development, trend research, showroom merchandising, and client meeting preparation while working closely with cross-functional teams across design, merchandising, sales, and product development.Please note: this is an unpaid internship for school credit only.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with fashion trend research for apparel and accessoriesSupport product sketching and design concept developmentHelp create line sheets and design-related materials using Adobe IllustratorOrganize fabric books, trims, samples, and design materialsAssist with showroom merchandising for client meetings across apparel, accessories, and home categoriesHelp maintain an organized, inviting, and well-presented showroomSupport client meeting preparation when neededGain hands-on exposure to product development, merchandising, and sales presentation processesQualificationsCurrent student pursuing Fashion Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Merchandising, or a related fieldStrong hand sketching or digital sketching skills requiredBasic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator requiredPassion for fashion, accessories, home, trend research, and product developmentStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced, creative environmentProactive, reliable, and willing to learnAvailable 2–3 days per week preferred
