Oversee that the HACCP plan and food safety guidelines are being followed through inspections of the kitchens.2. Responsible for critical decision making on potential product disposal in the school kitchens and from vendors, kitchen closures, and shutting down equipment due to food safety hazards.3. Respond to kitchen or customer complaints regarding product issues, potential foodborne illness, equipment issues, power outage, no hot water, no gas, pest issues, or other deficiencies that may occur in the kitchen.4. Provide food safety training for department staff.5. Oversee the temperature monitoring devices for all kitchen coolers and freezers by evaluating temperature graphs and investigating sensor alerts and communicating proper action required.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED6. Monitor vendor deliveries to ensure food safety guidelines are met.7. Has authority to shut down a kitchen or discard products when warranted due to unsatisfactory or unsanitary conditions.8. Responsible for thorough and accurate reporting of all inspections and investigations.9.
