A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - Med Surg Tele/n/nJob Details:/n• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends/n• Care for adult and geriatric patients in a 24-bed unit with daily census of 24/n• Manage patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CAD, diabetes, PVD, COPD exacerbation, COVID+, TIA, stroke, hypertension, Afib, Aflutter, bradycardia, tachycardia, wound infections, cellulitis, and GI bleed/n• Provide pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care (no sheath pulls), assist with PPM/AICD procedures, LINQ recorder placements, and general surgical procedures/n• Support EGD, colonoscopy, cholecystectomy, appendectomy, wound debridement, chest tube management, central line catheter insertions, thoracentesis, and paracentesis procedures/n• Work with specialized equipment including telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, and wound vacs/n• Float assignments required with agency first pull and possible floating to sister facility/n• Weekend coverage required/n• 12 hours of orientation provided/n• Must have 2 years of acute care experience and telemetry experience/n• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias required/n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)/n• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH/n• Unit accepts first-time travelers/n• Must live over 65 miles from facility (local travelers not accepted)/n• Louisiana or Compact license required upon submittal/n• Strict no call-in policy enforced/n• May be assigned to Emergency Team during weather events or emergencies with expectation to remain at facility/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center providing specialized cardiac and medical-surgical services.
