As part of the management team, our Maintenance Manager will lead by example to preserve the unique beauty of the resort and all maintenance aspects of the property. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall upkeep of the resort, ensuring repairs and maintenance needs across all departments are met in a timely and seamless manner. Review any problems with relevant departments and recheck the room/suite before releasing it to Housekeeping/Front OfficeMaintain a current inventory of all suppliesMaintain a work order assignment program for completed and pending work ordersPrioritize and complete work orders in a timely mannerCommunicate to the party/department upon completion of tasksRepair HVAC as required; and clean HVAC coils semi-annually or as requiredRepair appliances as requiredEnsure routine preventive maintenance on equipment is done, including, but not limited to laundry equipment, heating, and air condition units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, fire equipment, and plumbing in accordance with warranty specificationsMaintain the hotel grounds; curb appeal, and building exteriors consistentlyDevelop and sustain maintenance department programs to ensure quality control is metCoordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requestsAssist the General Manager in resolving engineering guest concernsEducate and lead department personnel on emergency procedures, key control, safety, and life safety precautionsCommunicate necessary information to all departments through all forms of communications, including logs, department meetings, coaching, and counselingCommunicate all changes in suite/room status with the Front Desk and HousekeepingEnsure VIVAMEE values are apparent and implemented in all team and customer interactionsKnow, understand, and adhere to company-established policies and proceduresOther tasks as required by the managementQualified Candidates Must Have:2 + years of experience working as a maintenance technician or relevant backgroundExperience working in a maintenance capacity in a hotel or relevant hospitality background preferredBasic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and electrical systemsPrevious experience at a farm/winery preferred but not requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions/changesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsFlexible schedule and ability to work nights and weekendsAbility to effectively interact with different personality typesConstruction/electrical/plumbing certifications is a plus but not requiredVIVAMEE VIRTUES
