Resource Nurse PractitionerCancer Center Services MBFull Time88059BRJob SummaryThis Nurse Practitioner (NP) position is assigned to the Cancer Services Medical Oncology clinics. In collaboration with the supervising physician and the administrative supervisor, the NP cares for patients receiving treatment for cancer. The NP provides clinical guidance for patients receiving systemic therapy for cancer including management of treatment toxicities, management of oncologic emergencies, symptom management, care coordination, assistance with triage, and other duties as assigned.The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is an accredited National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial transdisciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. The clinical cancer program is one of the largest clinical services at UCSF Medical Center and encompasses roughly 230 non-physician FTEs, 100+ cost center, and dozens of grant and philanthropic funding sources. At the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center we are truly pioneering care and leaders in all areas of cancer clinical care and research. We are routinely voted a top 10 program by U.S. News and World Report.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $105.50 - $136.83 (Hourly Rate).

We are routinely voted a top 10 program by U.S. News and World Report.Required QualificationsGraduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing approved or verified school of nursing with a master's degree in nursing or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).Two (2) years of recent experience as a medical oncology nurse practitioner or successful completion of a 1-year comprehensive oncology NP fellowship program at an academic medical centerPreferred QualificationsThree (3) or more years of direct care experience in oncology.
AOCNP CertificationLicense/Certification1. California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction
2. California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction
3. California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number including Schedule II furnishing privileges
4. NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role

6. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
7. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
