Faculty, Forestry, Part-time

OverviewThe faculty will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time or substitute basis in the Forest Technology program.Location: Allenwood, Pennsylvania (ESC)QualificationsEDUCATIONAssociate's Degree in Forestry related discipline, OR, equivalent combination of education and experience. RequiredBachelor's Degree in Forestry or closely related discipline. PreferredExperienceThree (3) years industry experience. RequiredRelevant secondary or postsecondary school teaching experience. PreferredAbilities And SkillsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. RequiredDeveloped organizational skills. RequiredPossession of a valid driver's license. RequiredResponsibilitiesInstruct and evaluate students in one or more of the courses offered in the Forest Technology program, including but not limited to: chainsaw safety, forest mensuration, dendrology, wood products, silviculture, wildlife management, wildland firefighting, pest management, and/or timber operations.Maintain accurate written records of student performance.Attend department meetings as requested.Complete official student rosters and return to School office as required.Physical Standards and Special Job FeaturesAbility to lift 40 lbs.Pay TransparencyThe part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.College StatementThis is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
