FISCAL DIRECTOR
Operation Threshold is accepting applications for the position of Fiscal Director. This position is responsible for the organization and implementation of agency fiscal policies, procedures, preparation of all financial reporting, and the maintenance of all financial records. This is a full-time salaried/exempt management position serving as a member of the management’s leadership team. As a private non-profit Community Action Agency, Operation Threshold requires that the person serving in this position have extensive experience working with fund accounting, non-profit accounting, as well as governmental and funder compliance and reporting.
A BA degree in accounting with three years’ experience in accounting, management, and supervision is required. Expertise and multiple years’ experience with fund accounting and computerized accounting systems are also required. Must have experience in budgeting, departmental/staff management, and have excellent working knowledge of all General Accepted Accounting Principles (and specifically within the non-profit and fund accounting disciplines).
Will be responsible for managing the fiscal department, the computerized accounting systems as well as supporting all agency staff in fiscal related concerns. Serves as the primary contact for all agency audits, monitoring visits, property insurance, tax, and asset/technology related concerns.
Must be thorough, accurate, detail oriented, have excellent problem solving and communication skills, and be able to multitask.
