Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - PCU Stepdown/n/nJob Details:/n• Work day/night rotation schedule with 36 hours per week/n• On-call responsibilities required/n• Work in 10-bed Progressive Care Unit/n• Must have experience with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains/n• Required experience with hemodynamic monitoring and invasive BP monitoring through arterial lines/n• Must be comfortable with Bi-PAP/C-PAP and trach C-PAP patients on ventilators/n• Experience needed with low dose pressors, vasoactive medications, and inotropes/n• Must have experience with Mannitol and 3% solutions/n• Work with tracheostomy patients and complex wound care/n• Manage various lines, tubes, and drains for post-surgical patients/n• Care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, meningitis, TBI, and spinal cord injuries/n• Support surgical patients including tumor resections (brain and spine), spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer cases/n• Assist with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) trials with lumbar drains/n• Work as part of Primary Stroke Center team/n/nFacility:/nThis medical center operates a specialized 10-bed Progressive Care Unit that focuses on neurological and neurosurgical care.
