Shipping Receiving/Assembly Technician

Job DescriptionReports To: Warehouse ManagerJob Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Shipping and Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee and ensure the efficient handling of all shipping and receiving operations, maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate various logistical processes.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Supervision:Lead and supervise the shipping and receiving process, providing input for improvement Ensure team compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Coordinate daily work schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively. Shipping and Receiving Operations:Oversee all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Verify and document incoming shipments, checking for damages, discrepancies, and accuracy of orders. Prepare and process shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation according to company and regulatory requirements. Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and transfers. Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels and minimize losses. Quality Control:Ensure that all products received and shipped meet quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any issues related to product quality or handling. Process Improvement:Continuously evaluate and improve shipping and receiving processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations. Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, including OSHA guidelines. Promote a safe and clean working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or incidents promptlyAssembly:Light assembly of components prior to shippingQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
