A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - PCU Job Details: • Work in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the 5th floor of the Owen Heart Center • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 with stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio • Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmias, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, and post cardiac procedures • Experience required with stepdown or progressive care and telemetry monitoring • Must have experience with titratable cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, heparin, and diuretics • Experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) preferred • Relief charge experience preferred • Work with equipment including Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, and bladder scanners • Use Cerner EMR system • Perform bedside cardioversion procedures • Float to all MedSurg units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed • Work every other weekend • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS • Dress code: All white scrubs, all navy blue scrubs, or white top with navy blue pants • Must demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude, teamwork, and compassion Facility: This healthcare organization operates a comprehensive cardiac care facility with specialized progressive care units designed to provide advanced monitoring and treatment for cardiac patients.
