Job Description Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner / Physician AssistantContingent Upon Contract AwardPosition OverviewEssential HealthCare Solutions, LLC ("EHS") is actively pursuing a federal contract to provide on-site Emergency Department services at the Hampton VA Medical Center. This position is contingent upon contract award.The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will provide emergency medical services to VA beneficiaries in accordance with VA policies, federal regulations, and ACEP-aligned clinical standards. The provider will work collaboratively with Emergency Physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.CompensationEstimated Compensation Range: $90.00 – $110.00 per hourCompensation will be determined based on qualifications, certifications, experience, and final contract funding.Minimum QualificationsFor Nurse Practitioner:&middot; Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program&middot; National certification (FNP, AGACNP, or ENP)&middot; Current, unrestricted RN/APRN license&middot; Prescriptive authority and DEA registrationFor Physician Assistant:&middot; Graduate of an accredited PA program&middot; Current NCCPA certification&middot; Current, unrestricted license&middot; DEA registrationFor Both:&middot; Current BLS and ACLS certification (PALS as required)&middot; Experience in emergency or urgent care preferred&middot; Eligibility for VA credentialing and privileging&middot; U.S. citizenship as required for VA facilitiesDuties and Responsibilities&middot; Conduct medical screening examinations and patient evaluations&middot; Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries within the scope of practice&middot; Order and interpret diagnostic studies&middot; Initiate treatment plans and perform approved procedures&middot; Collaborate with supervising Emergency Physicians&middot; Document encounters accurately and promptly in the VA electronic health record&middot; Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities&middot; Maintain compliance with all VA policies and federal regulationsEqual Employment Opportunity StatementEssential HealthCare Solutions, LLC ("EHS") is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
