Join us and be part of something bigger - helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.Position SummaryThe Senior DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM) Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of enterprise Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and IP Address Management (IPAM) infrastructure using Infoblox and related technologies. This role ensures the reliability, scalability, performance, and security of the organization's DDI ecosystem across both on-premises and cloud environments.The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for DDI platforms, providing technical leadership and driving service optimization and improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to influence architecture decisions, establish and participate in operational best practices, and mentor junior engineers while supporting a dynamic, enterprise-scale environment.Core CompetenciesTechnical Leadership: Provides expertise and drives DDI architectural decisions that support enterprise-level network operationsAnalytical Thinking: Uses methodical troubleshooting and data analysis to quickly resolve complex technical issuesCollaboration: Builds effective relationships with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure coordinated deliveryCommunication: Clearly documents technical solutions and presents findings to both technical and non-technical audiencesInnovation: Continuously seeks opportunities to improve automation, performance, and service reliabilityKey ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services leveraging Infoblox NIOSLead administration of DNS zones, DHCP scopes, and IP address space allocation across multiple environmentsImplement DNS security controls including DNSSEC, RPZ, and other protective measures to ensure data integrity and prevent exploitationDevelop and maintain DHCP failover and redundancy strategies for high availabilityPerform capacity planning and address management to support future network growth and re-architecture initiativesCreate and maintain advanced automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, REST/WAPI) for service provisioning, auditing, and reportingIdentify areas of opportunity, efficiency and growth of existing DDI infrastructure including integrating DDI systems with enterprise platforms, such as network monitoring (SolarWinds, Splunk) and ITSM tools (ServiceNow)Monitor system performance, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to maintain service stabilityCollaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to define standards, improve resilience, and align with compliance requirementsMaintain comprehensive system documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooksProvide mentorship, technical guidance, and training to DDI administrators and support staffCollaborate with application and infrastructure teams to identify and provide appropriate DDI solutionsParticipate in an on-call rotation and support planned maintenance activities as neededMay require participation in after-hours maintenance windows and on-call rotationThis position may involve cross-functional support of regional or global network environmentsRequired Qualifications7+ years of related experience administering and supporting DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure in an enterprise environmentExpert-level proficiency with Infoblox NIOS (Grid Manager, Reporting, and API integrations)Strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, VLANs) and DDI dependenciesDemonstrated experience in DNS/DHCP high availability, failover, and IPv4/IPv6 address planningProven ability to write scripts for automation and operational efficiency (Python, PowerShell, REST/WAPI)Solid understanding of network security concepts and best practices for DDI environmentsExperience supporting hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications such as Infoblox Core DDI, CCNP, or equivalentExperience integrating DDI systems with ServiceNow, network automation frameworks, or NAC platforms (e.g., Cisco ISE)Familiarity with network observability tools such as Grafana, Nagios, or SolarWindsExperience developing or supporting CI/CD pipelines for network automationKnowledge of IPv6 implementation strategies and dual-stack environmentsEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Highschool diploma plus 4 years relevant work experience)Anticipated Weekly Hours40Time TypeFull timePay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:$92,700.00 - $203,940.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. Our people fuel our future.
