Job Description DraftspersonJob Title: DraftspersonSupervisor: CEOFLSA Status: Non-Exempt Overview The Draftsperson is responsible for creating accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation to support product design, engineering, and production processes. This role collaborates closely with the CEO, sales and production teams, and Operations Manager to ensure that all drawings meet manufacturing standards, project requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Essential Functions · Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, assemblies, and component models using computer-aided design (CAD).· Create and maintain technical documentation, including book of materials (BOMs), specifications, and revision histories.· Interpret sketches, notes, and calculations to produce accurate working drawings.· Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, manufacturing capabilities, and safety requirements.· Collaborate with production teams to resolve design issues and optimize manufacturability.· Update and revise existing drawings based on feedback, design changes, or production requirements.· Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve product quality, and efficiency.· Prepare technical drawings for prototypes, tooling, jogs, fixtures, and production equipment as needed.· Assist in maintaining drawing databases and version control systems.· Conduct field measurements or assist with onsite inspections to gather necessary data.· Ability to communicate speaking and writing. Qualifications · 1+ years of experience operating machines in a fabrication shop environment· Experience in a manufacturing and fabrication· Proficiency in CAD software Fusion and/or SolidWorks· Familiarity with manufacturing processes· Strong understanding of geometric dimension and tolerating (GD&T), dimension standards, tolerances, and fabrication methods.· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.· Good communication and teamwork skills.· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.· Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. · Frequently lift 30-50 pounds· Frequent standing for long periods of time· Regularly perform repetitive tasks· Regularly possess manual dexterity Work Environment This job operated in a typical fabrication shop environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. Power tools, including saws, and forklifts, are also frequently used. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time hourly position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, a 40-hour work week with overtime as necessary. This position is located in our shop at 359 W 100 S Paul, Idaho.
