Job DescriptionJob SummarySupervise the activities of the production department in the manufacture of Poly Iso Insulation and associated products. Employee will be used to fill in on other jobs in plant as required.Duties And ResponsibilitiesSupervise all Production employees (and occasionally personnel from other departments on same shift)Coach and develop employees in their respective positionsDirect and coordinate activities associated with the production departmentSupervise all plants safety rules and regulationsPerform yearly reviews on employees as well as 30, 60, 90-day reviews on new hiresDocument incidents, disciplinary actions, accident/injury reports and other related forms when neededHave an advanced understanding of all production positionsPeriodic inspection of material being produced for quality defects and other issuesAssist in and oversee Housekeeping of plant, inside and outHelp formulate and implement plan to achieve yearly plant goals as they pertain to the departmentOversee usage of Statistical Process Control (SPC) software on the production lineCreate and manage SOPs and other training documentsAssist with COS work processesAssist in and oversee the training of all production personnelFill in for other supervisors when required (vacation, absenteeism, trainings, etc)Be knowledgeable regarding safe/proper disposal of Waste ChemicalsUpdate and present SQDC board during Tier MeetingsCompetencies TeamworkBuilds trust with others by encouraging open dialogue and collaboration. Education And ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, post high school education strongly preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of related leadership, supervisory, and/or management experience required in a manufacturing environment Experience with Microsoft Office, SFIS, Wonderware, batching program highly preferredEquipment UsedThis position uses the following equipment in the course of the job duties: phone, radio, computer, copier, and printerOversee the use of chemical mixing/metering skids, web conveying equipment, laminators, robotic stacking equipment, and automatic cutting machines and other equipment as neededWorking ConditionsActivities occur inside an insulation manufacturing facility.
