Job DescriptionRutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalist to join the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice academic pediatric hospital medicine within a collaborative, mission-driven environment while maintaining schedule flexibility.Position OverviewThe Per Diem Pediatric Hospitalist will:Provide comprehensive inpatient care on pediatric inpatient unitsDeliver care in well-newborn nurseries and same-day medical unitsMentor and supervise medical students and residentsShare call, weekend, and holiday coverage with other clinical faculty in the Division of Pediatric Hospital MedicineMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentationRemain current with hospital and departmental policies and proceduresAcademic & Scholarly ResponsibilitiesAs part of the mission of the medical school, candidates will:Engage in scholarly and outreach activitiesParticipate in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education programsContribute to resident and student educationCollaborate on research initiatives as appropriatePerform additional academic duties as assigned by the Chair of Pediatrics and the Division Director of Hospital Medicine, who will serve as mentorThis role offers meaningful opportunities for academic growth within a well-established pediatric division.QualificationsBoard Certified in PediatricsBoard Eligible in Pediatric Hospital MedicineEligible for licensure in the State of New JerseyCompensation$120/hour – Weekdays$150/hour – WeekendsThe compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
