MLT - Medical Lab Tech, Lab, PRN

Employment Type: Part time Shift:Medical Lab Technician or Medical Technologist, Night Shift* This position will work 1, 12 hour night shift a week. About the Unit:The laboratory at Mount Carmel Dublin will provide a wide range of laboratory procedures that will aid clinicians in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients. There will be comprehensive testing in the specialties of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, blood gases, molecular, and blood banking. Located on the 1st floor will be an Outpatient Lab Service Center that will provide convenient hours for patients to have their blood drawn. This laboratory will house all new state of the art instrumentation along with EPIC Beaker laboratory information system. The laboratory team will interact with other Dublin Hospital health care professionals to coordinate the best patient care experience.The Medical Technologist performs laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately andPerforms all clinical testing in assigned department.Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.Maintains a high level of quality assurance.Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, physical disability or any other classification protected under local, state or federal law.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local law.
