PDS Tech is hiring Mechanical Assemblers to support production of high-pressure regulators and metal components used in the semiconductor industry at a facility in Elk River, MN.Location: Elk River, MNPay Rate: $21.60/hourShift: 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday Thursday, 3:00 PM 1:00 AMPosition OverviewThe Mechanical Assembler will build high-pressure regulators and precision metal components from start to finish in a cleanroom environment. This role requires strong mechanical assembly experience, the ability to read blueprints and work instructions, and comfort working in full cleanroom attire throughout the shift. Products support semiconductor manufacturing and must meet strict quality and cleanliness standards.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical AssemblyAssemble regulators and related components using blueprints, work instructions, and specificationsBuild complete assemblies from kits, averaging 2030 units per dayUse hand tools, torque wrenches, lubricants, and assembly equipment to complete buildsApply proper torque requirements up to 150 ft/lbsTesting & QualityPerform helium leak testing and functional testing of completed assembliesInspect parts and finished products for defects such as scratches, dents, or inconsistenciesEnsure all products meet quality and performance standardsCleanroom ProductionFollow all cleanroom protocols and procedures at all timesWear full cleanroom attire for the duration of the shiftMaintain cleanliness, organization, and contamination control standardsPackaging & DocumentationPackage finished products according to cleanroom and shipping requirements, including vacuum-sealed packagingComplete production and quality documentation accuratelyMaintain traceability and compliance with customer and regulatory standardsPerformance ExpectationsConsistent production output of 2030 completed assemblies per dayHigh-quality workmanship with minimal defects or reworkStrict adherence to cleanroom, safety, and production proceduresAccurate documentation and attention to detailRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum 12 years of mechanical assembly experienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written instructionsExperience building products from start to finish using hand tools and torque toolsComfortable working in a cleanroom environment for the entire shiftAbility to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours)Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbsMust be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident due to regulatory requirementsImportant NotesMechanical assembly experience is required; medical assembly alone is not sufficient for this roleExperience with precision components or regulated production environments is highly preferredTop 3 SkillsMechanical assembly experienceBlueprint and work instruction interpretationFull product build using hand tools and torque equipmentWhy Join PDS Tech?Competitive pay at $21.60/hourStable 2nd shift schedule with consistent hoursOpportunity to gain experience in semiconductor manufacturingHands-on role in a clean, high-precision production environmentReady to Apply?
