What makes this role important at Ipsos?
We are looking for a highly experienced Vice President of Strategic Growth to join the team in continuing to drive our growth trajectory.
In this role, you will cultivate a comprehensive understanding of our full suite of solutions to identify and advise prospective clients as to how our services and solutions can help them achieve their desired business outcomes.
This understanding will enable you to assertively and consistently engage the marketplace to identify target organizations and key stakeholders and uncover business opportunities where our solutions can add value.
You will develop thoughtful and compelling sales and marketing campaigns in collaboration with both the business development and marketing teams.
You will work to gain an understanding of our services through both scheduled training, client success team discussion, and a substantial amount of personal desk research reviewing current sales sheets, presentations, proposals, and client business review documents.
You will also develop an expertise in several industries that we mutually agree on for you to pursue so you can serve as a subject matter expert within the Experience Group as well as be seen as a thought leader by prospective client organizations and contacts.
You will develop a personal brand around this expertise that will be evident in social channels such as LinkedIn.
You will manage your business development work in an activity-based and goal-oriented manner where tasks such as emails, cold calls, LinkedIn connection requests and others are regularly deployed against daily and weekly targets. You will keep all company sales activity and results databases accurate and current so others within Ipsos can confidently forecast revenue based on those records.
The combination of service/solution knowledge, understanding of the value those solutions provide, how to present and propose those solutions, and consistent engagement of target organizations within key industries will enable you to make regular and recurring contributions to the Experience Group's revenue production.
Location
This position can be based in Chicago, New York, Seattle or any Ipsos office in the U.S.
What you can expect to be doing
Product/Industry Knowledge :
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Experience Group solutions, including User Experience Research, Customer Experience Programs, Employee Engagement Studies, Execution Measurement Audits, Customer Intercept Surveys, Mystery Shopping, Integrated Data Analytics and SaaS Reporting Platforms.
Develop subject matter expertise in mutually-agreed industries and cultivate a personal brand around how the Experience Group supports them.
Subscribe to and read on a daily basis industry-specific trade publications to stay current on all topics of interest to those industries.
Conduct comprehensive research and prepare account overview documents for select "whale" prospects that are assigned to you
Business Development
Develop a strategically focused target list of prospective client organizations and contacts to launch proactive prospecting efforts into
Conduct daily outbound sales prospecting activities, including cold calls, emails, LinkedIn messages, executive engagement letters, personal notes, and similar tools to secure access to key target organization decision-makers
Leverage existing product- and service-specific collateral, including sales sheets, presentations, and proposals and become proficient at tailoring presentations and proposals to deliver customized offers that drive new client acquisition
Create and present compelling proposals leveraging templates and core content available within the Experience Group
Assist in the development of additional content as and when prospective clients or market conditions suggest that modifications should be made
Develop an individual pipeline and new client relationships that will enable you to achieve a $1.5M sales target within the first 12-months in the role
Collaborate with shared marketing services team to launch Experience Group-focused sales and marketing campaigns and outreach to cross section of prospects and industries.
Collaborate with specific Ipsos Client Officer representatives associated with target client accounts and those having a similar industry focus to further cultivate brand relationships and opportunities
Documentation and Reporting
Capture all Account and Contact details and consistently upload those into a mutually agreed tracking system
Take notes of all discovery calls and proposal discussions and save those for future sharing with colleagues
Input all sales opportunity details into both Ipsos' proprietary opportunity management tool, Job Book, and Salesforce.com
Maintain the accuracy of your sales opportunity pipeline in both tools no less than once per week
Attend weekly pipeline review calls with the business development team and be prepared to provide insight into the nature and status of the opportunities in your pipeline, including business need, solution of interest, timing for consideration and purchase, and the total likely investment under consideration.
Attend a weekly Monthly AOT review call to understand the impact of your performance on the health of the various service lines within the Experience Group and its ability to achieve and exceed its monthly revenue (turnover) forecast.
This might be the job for you if you have
10+ years professional experience in the market research and/or customer experience industry
Broad and deep experience within the User Experience Research, Customer Experience Programs, Employee Engagement Studies, Execution Measurement Audits, Customer Intercept Surveys, Mystery Shopping, Integrated Data Analytics and SaaS Reporting Platforms encompassing a range of industries, clients, partners and programs.
Strong connections within the industry that will lead to tangible sales growth.
Exceptional client service focus with the ability to confidently deal with executives and client contacts at a senior management level.
Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities.
Proficient in MS Office with exceptional PowerPoint skills.
Excellent personal self-discipline to maintain detailed records of sales activities and efforts.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving and solution development.

In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $185,000 to $195,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
