We encourage our employees to remain on the cutting edge of new developments in their respective disciplines.As a Human Resources & Operations Admin at Mclaurin Aerospace, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day functions of Human Resources, Operations, and Contract Administration. This role coordinates key HR processes such as onboarding, employee records management, compliance, and benefits administration, while also assisting with operational workflows and contract documentation.This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on business needs and performance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing responsibilities across multiple functional areas.ResponsibilitiesHuman ResourcesCoordinate onboarding for new hiresMaintain and update HR records, employee databases, and personnel files in compliance with company policies and legal requirementsSupport timekeeping processesAssist with benefits administration and employee communicationsSupport HR compliance activities, audits, and reporting requirementsRespond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programsCreate, maintain, and update HR procedures and documentationSupport employee engagement initiatives and internal communicationsOperations SupportAssist with day-to-day operational processesTrack and help manage internal projects, workflows, and deadlinesSupport continuous improvement initiatives by documenting and streamlining organizational proceduresCoordinate administrative logistics such as scheduling, reporting, and internal communicationsContract AdministrationAssist in the administration of subcontracts issued under U.S. Government prime contracts, ensuring alignment with prime contract requirements and expectationsSupport the review and processing of incoming subcontract agreements, NDAs, and teaming agreements from prime contractorsEnsure required flow-down provisions from prime contracts (including applicable FAR/DFARS clauses) are properly incorporated and trackedMaintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready subcontract files in accordance with company policies and federal recordkeeping requirementsTrack key subcontract elements including periods of performance, funded value, labor categories, deliverables, and option periodsCoordinate with internal teams (HR, Finance, Operations) to ensure compliance with subcontract terms, including labor qualifications, timekeeping, and billing requirementsAssist with subcontractor and consultant onboarding in alignment with contract requirements (e.g., representations and certifications, compliance documentation, security requirements)Monitor and track compliance with subcontract reporting requirements, deliverables, and data submissions to prime contractorsSupport preparation for audits and reviews, including DCAA audits, prime contractor audits, and internal compliance checksAssist in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements such as CMMC, ITAR, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) handling, as applicableTrack and flag potential risks such as scope changes, funding limitations, or performance issues, escalating as appropriateHelp ensure proper documentation and coordination for subcontract modifications, extensions, and closeout activities QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in HR, administration, operations, contract support, or a related role preferredExposure to government contracting or subcontracting environments preferred, particularly supporting prime contractors or regulated industriesBasic familiarity with federal contracting requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS concepts, flow-down clauses) is a plus, but not requiredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesHigh level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential informationFamiliarity with employment laws and HR best practices is a plusDetail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable with a strong problem-solving mindsetProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms and timekeeping systems preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUS Citizenship and the ability to pass a comprehensive security background investigation is required.
