Field Event Operations SupervisorLocation: Charlotte, NC (SouthPark area)Travel: ~20–30 field events per year (typically 1–3 days each, including occasional weekends)Role OverviewThis is a hybrid field operations role (approx. 20% physical / 80% logistics & coordination) supporting nationwide customer rental events in manufacturing, industrial, university, and corporate environments.You will be responsible for planning, traveling to, executing, and troubleshooting on-site deployments of communication systems used during plant tours, grand openings, and large-scale facility events.This is not a desk-only coordination role, success requires someone comfortable working in the field, moving equipment, and managing live event logistics on-site.What You Will DoTravel nationwide to set up and support on-site rental eventsPersonally handle event logistics end-to-end (air, hotel, rental car, shipping equipment to hotels, etc.)Transport, stage, and manage equipment cases up to 50 lbs.Set up and troubleshoot communication equipment during live eventsSupervise 3–4 independent contractor (1099) field staff per eventRecruit and schedule contractors across the U.S. as neededLead pre-event planning calls with customers to confirm logistics and expectationsWork directly with customers to execute plant tours, grand openings, and large facility eventsRe-engage past customers and support repeat bookings through outbound outreachFollow established SOPs to ensure consistent execution across all eventsField & Physical Requirements (Must Be Comfortable with This)Ability to travel 20–30 times per year, often in 1–3-day tripsFlexibility for early departures, late returns, and occasional weekendsAbility to lift and move equipment cases up to 50 lbs. repeatedlyComfort working in manufacturing plants, warehouses, outdoor environments, and active job sitesAbility to stay effective in fast-changing, live event conditionsWhat Success Looks LikeExtremely organized with strong follow-through on complex logisticsCalm and solution-oriented when schedules or plans change in real timeComfortable interacting with all levels of personnel—from plant floor teams to senior executivesStrong customer-facing communication and professional presenceAble to manage multiple moving parts without losing attention to detailConfident supervising contractors and enforcing process adherence in the fieldReliable, consistent, and able to operate independently while travelingWhy This Role Is UniqueTrue blend of field execution + logistics + customer engagementHigh autonomy in managing your own events and travel scheduleExposure to large-scale manufacturing and corporate environments nationwideEvery event is different—no repetitive desk-based workDirect ownership of customer experience from planning through executionImportant Fit ConsiderationThis role requires significant travel flexibility, physical capability, and comfort working in variable field conditions.
