Senior Technical Designer, Sweaters (Freelance to FULL-TIME)

As we expand our presence, BCI remains dedicated to innovation, excellence, and women's empowerment through fashion.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Senior Sweater Designer to launch proto, SRS tech packs for all seasonal sweater collections.Daily communication with sweater factories to ensure sample execution as desired from the early stages of development through final productionSourcing yarn, trim, and developing stitchesPrioritize workload based on yarn/garment delivery, ensuring seasonal deadlines are metCollaborate production teams to ensure ideal product while also maintaining margins, suggesting more cost-effective options as neededRequirements8+ years of experience as working in WOMEN'S sweater design requiredExperience in leading fittingsExhibit a strong working knowledge of Sweater garment construction, including stitch / gauge / technical capabilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsStrong time management and multitasking skillsInnate sense of urgency and organizational skills; technical and detail-orientedCapacity to work in a fast-paced environmentProactive, problem-solver, dedicated, deadline-driven and self-motivated/entrepreneurialSalary: the hourly rate for this freelance position is $45/hour and has the potential to become full-time for the right fit.
