Job Title: Human Resource/Safety InternLocation: 1900 4 Mile Road NW Walker MIPay: $16.00 per hourWork Shift: 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday – FridayReports To: HR DepartmentOpportunities:Assist with recruitment activities, including interview coordination, drug screen scheduling and data entryMaintain and update employee records and HR databases, including safety training.Safety data entry and recording.Assist with company events.Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HR policies and procedures.Update company forms and documents as necessary.As an HR Intern, you will gain exposure to:Employee relations and HR best practicesHR and Safety policies, compliance, and documentationPerformance management and training processesTalent acquisitionReal-world HR systems and toolsExposure to union contracts and its impactQualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.Strong organizational, communication and time-management skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismProficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook; HR software and/or Canva is a plusEagerness to learn and ability to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with recruitment platforms or HRIS systemsInterest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
