Human Resources Generalist

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a manufacturing company in Ada, MI seeking a driven HR Generalist to join their growing team.This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The HR Generalist will play a key role in driving employee engagement, compliance, recruiting, and process improvement as the organization continues to scale.Responsibilities:Plan and execute employee engagement and recognition initiatives to uphold a positive, high-performance cultureServe as a resource for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management supportEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA) and maintain accurate employee recordsAssist with payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processesCoordinate full-cycle onboarding and collaborate with staffing agencies and hiring managers on recruiting effortsAdminister employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiriesAssist in optimizing HRIS and internal systems to streamline workflows and data entryTrack and report on key HR metrics (turnover, attendance, engagement)Coordinate employee training and development initiatives, including safety and compliance trainingAssist in shipping and receiving operations as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field2+ years of HR or administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fast-paced environmentExperience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organizationHighly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindsetAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalismWillingness to work onsite Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PMAxios Professional Recruitment is an employee-owned company and the largest independent employer in West Michigan.
