EC&I Engineer

JOB TITLE: EC&I ENGINEERJOB FAMILY: ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCELOCATION: TULSA, OKJOB SUMMARYThe Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role supports safe, reliable, and efficient operations by applying engineering principles across electrical maintenance, automation, and capital or reliability-driven projects. The Electrical Engineer provides technical leadership for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance development, and compliance with electrical and safety standards.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Electrical Engineer designs, develops, and maintains electrical power, control, and automation systems supporting manufacturing operations. The role troubleshoots and resolves issues involving motors, control panels, lighting systems, transformers, and production equipment. The engineer develops and improves preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability. They support electrical and controls-related process modifications and engineering projects, including upgrades and new installations. The role includes programming, testing, and maintaining PLC and HMI systems for manufacturing automation. Collaboration with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams is essential to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facility performance. The Electrical Engineer supports procurement and management of electrical components and tools and ensures compliance with NEC, OSHA, and other applicable regulations. Preparation of technical documentation, schematics, and maintenance reports is also required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent technical experience.Minimum of five years of experience in industrial electrical engineering, including electrical design, PLC/HMI programming, and hardware integration.At least five years of leadership or project-based experience in electrical maintenance, controls, or power systems environments.Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, control circuits, and electrical safety practices. Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software.Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI platforms such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens. Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 70, IEC, and IEEE standards.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSProcess Safety Management (PSM) experience in a regulated manufacturing or chemical processing environment is strongly preferred.
