Software Engineer Full Stack - Java, AWS

Job SummaryThe Software Engineer - Full Stack will build and support applications using Java and Python across on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The role will contribute to full-stack solutions involving frontend development, backend services, database access, REST APIs, messaging, and AWS cloud services. The engineer will work with development teams to follow application lifecycle methodologies, apply secure coding practices, support architecture and DevOps standards, create design documentation, perform testing, and troubleshoot complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and PythonBuild frontend, backend, database, REST API, messaging, and cloud-based application componentsDevelop and maintain applications deployed across on-premises and AWS cloud infrastructureApply application lifecycle management practices and approved development methodologiesCreate and maintain comprehensive technical and design documentationPerform coding, unit testing, integration testing, and functional testingApply secure coding standards and practices throughout the software development lifecycleCollaborate with product and development teams as a technical partnerTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues through debugging, research, and investigationApply architecture patterns, DevOps practices, and cloud technologies to application developmentSupport database access and SQL-based application functionalityDevelop and integrate REST APIs and messaging componentsRequired QualificationsHands-on coding experience with Core JavaHands-on experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Security, or comparable componentsHands-on experience with UI development using AngularHands-on experience with SQL and relational databasesHands-on experience with Python programmingHands-on experience with unit, integration, and functional testingKnowledge of building and consuming REST APIsKnowledge of AWS and cloud technologiesUnderstanding of application lifecycle management, security, architecture patterns, and DevOps practicesExcellent written and verbal communication skills1-5 years of professional experience or recent college graduate with relevant hands-on development experiencePreferred QualificationsDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience developing applications across on-premises and cloud environmentsFamiliarity with messaging technologies and distributed application architecturesExperience creating technical design documentationFamiliarity with secure software development and DevOps practices
