Job Title: Festoon Assembly TechnicianLocation: Omaha, NE 68127Company: Conductix-WampflerRate: Depends on experience Time: 5AM to 1:30PM Job Description:Conductix-Wampfler, a growing industrial products manufacturer, is seeking experienced Festoon Assembly Technicians to join our team. Ideal candidates will be self-directed, quality-minded individuals who take pride in their work and can solve problems in a team-based environment.Responsibilities:Assemble electrical and mechanical components to produce quality festoon system products.Perform mechanical assembly of various size structural and electrical components.Install electrical components according to wiring specifications.Operate tools such as cut-off saws and drill presses.Connect color-coded wires, test and adjust electrical assemblies.Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisors or engineers.Consult with engineering and sales departments on design problems.Perform field service and start-up duties as required.Ensure accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing inputs to meet quality guidelines.Communicate changes or corrections to relevant departments to maintain consistency.Support and improve the quality system and policy.Implement and sustain 5S program initiatives.Uphold and support quality and EHS policies and core values.Qualifications:2-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical assembly.Experience operating cut-off saws and drill presses.Soldering experience is a plus.Ability to read blueprints is a plus.Proficiency with measurement devices.High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems in standardized situations.Physical Demands:Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle, feel, or manipulate objects.Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.Noise level is usually moderate.
