Assembly Technician - 1st ShiftEaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking an Assembly Technician - 1st Shift to join our team at the Omaha, NE site.Shift Hours: 6:00am-3:30pm Monday - Thursday; 6am - 10am Friday; Overtime may exceed these hours.The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 per hour.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:This position assembles and installs electrical metering, relaying and transformer components into medium voltage (5-38kv) switchgear assemblies as well as device wiring.In this function you will:Assemble, adjust or repair using hand and air tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges and measuring devices while performing a repetitive and/or non-repetitive task as requiredPosition and install component parts according to material list and blueprintsAssembly includes a wiring task whereby it is necessary to stand, sit, bend and work from a ladder throughout the dayWire lugs are crimped on the end of the wire and are done with manual and automatic crimpers and strippersExecute Point-to-Point wiring diagrams in order to install electrical wiring. Routing of wire from one point to the other requires the ability to be proactive and work from a schematicAble to work off ladders and in tight spacesInspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanlinessRespond to change notices, customer requested adjustments and development needsFocus on safety, customer service, quality, productivityMust be willing to work overtime as required, including weekendsQualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:High School diploma or GED from an accredited institutionEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.Preferred Qualifications:1-year related experience in electrical wiring in a manufacturing environmentLight construction experienceAbility to read and interpret drawings or wire diagramsExperience in wiring electrical productsPosition Criteria:Working knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facilityAbility to work daily and/or weekend overtimeGood problem solving and troubleshooting abilityExcellent history of work performance, teamwork and attendance
