You build strong relationships with other teams to drive seamless cross-functional collaboration and cultivate a positive, productive, and innovative work environment.What You Will DoThe Early Learning Quality Initiatives Manager (Manager III - IV) performs complex to advanced (senior-level) managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of a business function, division, or department. Works under general to limited supervision, with moderate to considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.You Will Be Trusted To Manage a team, lead quality initiatives including Texas Rising Star, and ensure program compliance to achieve agency goals within the Child Care & Early Learning Division. Develop and update plans, policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and rules for childcare and early learning quality initiatives, including Texas Rising Star. Research, interpret, and analyze relevant laws and regulations, recommending program changes as needed. Deliver training and technical assistance to local workforce boards on Texas Rising Star and quality initiatives. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure program compliance, effective implementation, and performance monitoring. Serve as a subject matter expert on childcare and early learning, preparing reports and research. Represent the agency at meetings and conferences with federal, state, and local agencies or organizations. Perform other duties as assigned.You Qualify With Manager III: Four years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency, one year of which must have been in an administrative management or supervisory capacity. Manager IV: Five years of full-time experience in the development, implementation, or interpretation of policies and procedures in a public or private agency, one year and six months of which must have been in an administrative management or supervisory capacity. Both Levels: Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.You Are a Great Fit With Direct experience administering and overseeing services in an early childhood program that serve families and young children such as child care, Head Start, Early Head Start, or prekindergarten Experience coordinating activities across organizations/departments in a collaborative, team environment Knowledge of the early care and education system in Texas, including relevant rules, policies, procedures, and laws; and ability to devise solutions to complex problems using a critical and analytical approach Skill in establishing and maintaining collaborative working relationships; excellent skills in written and verbal communication Ability to evaluate problems, develop alternative solutions, plan, implement, and evaluate initiatives or program activities that impact many stakeholders.You Gain A Family Friendly Certified Workplace.
