Which is where you come in.Who We Are Looking ForQualifications & ExperienceEducation:Technical Bachelor or Master Degree (process, chemistry, metallurgy, engineering...) ideally completed by some training in Safety prevention or Environmental studies (but not a must)10 to 15 years of EHS experience of which at least 5 in a production & plant environment experienceTechnical skills:Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Responsible for protecting the environment (air, water, land)Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), enforces environmental laws within Texas; works alongside the EPA but focuses on state-level compliance.Good understanding/knowledge of chemical and metallurgical processes and associated risks.Having implemented safety prevention programs in industrial environment is a plusPractical experience with HAZOP, ATEX regulations and other relevant prevention programs & regulationsKnowledge of the process and risk-based approachKnowledge of the requirements of ISO14001, 45001 and 9001 to the extent necessary to manage the assigned processProficient with PC tools as Word, Excel, and PowerPointKnowledge of more advanced digital tools, such as PowerBi is a plusManagerial skills:Good written and oral communication skillsAbility to phrase concepts in a structured and clear mannerAble to change attitudes and to create acceptance to changeAbility to convince without formal authorityPersonal skillsEnthusiastic team player with an open "can do" mentalityGood communication skills & good team leadingAbility to identify, analyze and solve problemsCommitted to resultsIndependent, self-initiativeStructuredCan work in a multicultural environmentProven ability to coordinate teams and projectsSelf-driven to excellence Not easily discouraged by resistance to change and inertiaWilling to coach/mentorWhat We OfferWe aim to lead the way.
