Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers and the planet.Albemarle is seeking an onsite Environmental Manager to oversee compliance, permitting, and environmental programs at our Pasadena, TX facility. The role partners with site leadership to drive continuous improvement, manage environmental risks, and ensure alignment with evolving regulations while fostering a proactive, site-wide environmental culture.What You Will DoAssure compliance with all applicable environmental regulations and corporate policiesProvide leadership and guidance for the Pasadena manufacturing facility to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance and cultureManage environmental group to complete permitting and compliance activitiesMaintain environmental records and documentation to support compliance with all regulatory requirementsProvide budget and cost reduction oversight for the environmental departmentMaintain regulatory knowledge, site-wide regulatory awarenessMaintain knowledge of environmental regulations as they apply to site activitiesMonitor existing and potential environmental concerns and recommends priorities for sustainable resolutionLead the response team for critical environmental incidentsAttend external forums, to stay informed on policy information/updatesCollaborate regularly with all site departments to implement environmental programs and improvementsEvaluate engineering project proposals, production process changes, jobs as applicable, and cost improvements for environmental compliance challengesIdentify vendors who can provide environmental services in a manner compliant with regulations that also limits corporate liability.Assist with the development and delivery of environmental trainingDevelop, understand, manage, and follow procedures to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.Required10+ years of experience in chemical process industry, with 5+ years in an environmental compliance roleBS in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or ChemistryPreferred3+ years of environmental leadership experience in the chemical industryKnowledgeable in Pavilion, Enablon, PI, Microsoft 365Benefits Of Joining Albemarle Competitive compensation Comprehensive benefits package A diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
