Albany Medical College is seeking a thoughtful and collaborative leader to serve as Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine. This is an opportunity to lead a well-established, highly respected academic division with a central role in outpatient care and medical education.Albany Medical College is part of the Albany Med Health System, the only academic health sciences center and Level 1 trauma center in northeastern New York. The Division of General Internal Medicine delivers clinical care almost exclusively in the ambulatory setting, with inpatient services provided by closely aligned academic hospitalists. The Division plays a foundational role in the Department of Medicine’s undergraduate and graduate medical education programs.About the RoleAs Chief of the Division of General Internal Medicine, you will oversee all academic, clinical, and educational activities of the division. You will lead an institutional initiative aimed at increasing the number of medical students and trainees who choose careers in ambulatory internal medicine.
