Payroll Administrator

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate payroll processing, employee compliance, and smooth onboarding and offboarding activities. This is a remote position based in Los Angeles, California, and offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team environment.Responsibilities:- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 280 employees using the Gusto platform.- Oversee timekeeping and timeclock management with the Deputy system to ensure accuracy and compliance.- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all payroll-related documentation is complete.- Handle garnishment notifications, typically once per week, and process them in a timely manner.- Conduct audits of payroll materials, including compliance with meal and break requirements.- Provide support during payroll audits and ensure all necessary documentation is prepared.- Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures related to payroll and timekeeping.- Assist with benefit administration tasks, including 401(k) contributions and related inquiries.- Maintain accurate records for multistate payroll processing and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations. Requirements - Proven experience in payroll administration, particularly with bi-weekly payroll for teams of 100+ employees.- Proficiency with Gusto payroll software and Deputy timeclock management tools.- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, including garnishments and multistate payroll regulations.- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, auditing, and compliance tasks.- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.- Familiarity with benefit administration, including 401(k) contributions and related processes.- Advanced skills in Excel or similar spreadsheet tools for data analysis and reporting.- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
