Payroll Coordinator

An established public healthcare system is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support corporate payroll operations. This role will act as a liaison between employees and the payroll department while ensuring accurate timekeeping, payroll processing, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate has experience preparing and reconciling timesheets, supporting payroll functions, and providing strong customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and reconcile employee timesheets to ensure payroll accuracy. Assist with payroll preparation and processing in accordance with organizational policies. Serve as a Payroll Ambassador and liaison between facility staff and payroll operations. Provide high-quality customer service by responding to payroll and timekeeping inquiries. Utilize enterprise systems, reports, and ServiceNow to troubleshoot payroll issues. Complete payroll and timekeeping forms and escalate complex cases when necessary. Support employees with ESS and MSS navigation and related system inquiries. Collaborate with Payroll and HR teams to ensure proper payroll procedures are followed. Provide backup support for the Payroll Shared Services Call Center when required. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, and software through ongoing training. Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1 year of experience in payroll preparation, timesheet preparation, or reconciliation. Experience working with payroll systems or timekeeping software. Familiarity with enterprise systems and reporting tools. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle employee inquiries professionally and efficiently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Please note that the salary range and/or hourly rate range of $30.00– $33.00 per hour is a good faith determination of potential base compensation offered to applicants at the time of this job advertisement and may be subject to modification in the future.
