Tax Manager

Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr In office 5 days/week (Remote capabilities some days). Must live in or around Newport News, VA. Tax Manager We’re seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead tax compliance, review, and planning for trusts, high-net-worth individuals, and closely held businesses. This client-facing role reports directly to a Partner and offers full ownership of deliverables, team leadership, and client relationship management. Key Responsibilities Oversee and review tax filings for individuals, trusts, and business entities Manage compliance engagements from start to finish Supervise, mentor, and review staff and senior tax professionals Maintain direct client communication and deliver tailored solutions Ensure federal, state, and local tax compliance Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations Identify process efficiencies and assist with scheduling Support business development through proposals and relationship-building Qualifications Active CPA license 1+ year as a Tax Manager; 6+ years total public accounting tax experience Experience reviewing staff work and managing client relationships Background in trust taxation, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate tax Strong technical tax knowledge, leadership, and communication skills 401(k) with company contribution Company-paid life & LTD insurance; optional STD coverage Year-end office closure in December, parking reimbursement, wellness perks, summer hours Join Us If you’re a driven tax professional ready for a leadership role in a supportive, growth-focused firm, apply today. #J-18808-Ljbffr
