Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (06:30 - 15:00) Experience: Minimum of 3 years recent OR RN experience in a hospital setting License: Must have a valid RN license Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications, must be through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Experience with General Surgery - Experience with Davinci preferred - Experience with Orthopedics - Experience with robotic knee replacements - Experience with trauma - Experience with Neuro Description: The Operating Room Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership. They anticipate and plan for the care of patients in the operating room. The OR RN works with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and other personnel. They provide patient care in the operating room according to regulatory standards, physician orders, and hospital policies. Responsibilities include scheduling cases and ensuring the availability of supplies. They ensure the timeliness of cases and communicate with families. The OR RN updates physician preference cards. They scrub and circulate surgical cases. They supervise personnel delivering patient care.
