Our client in the Spokane, WA location is currently hiring for a Construction Project Manager to support a growing backlog of commercial construction work. This role will lead multiple projects from pre-construction through closeout, supporting both ground-up and tenant improvement projects across a variety of commercial sectors. This is a full-time, on-site position split between the office and active job sites.Pay: Competitive compensation (depending on years of experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant project experience)Location: Spokane, WA (on-site; split between corporate office and active construction project sites)Schedule: Standard Monday - Friday (40 hours per week, flexibility based on project needs)ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeoutLead ground-up and tenant improvement projects across commercial sectors including healthcare, financial, retail, hospitality, industrial, aerospace, government, and multi-familyOversee subcontractor buyouts including scope definition, bid reviews, and contract awardsCoordinate safety reviews and support safe jobsite practices aligned with company and regulatory standardsPrepare, review, and manage change orders with accurate documentation and communicationManage monthly billing, pay applications, and supporting documentationCoordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to maintain project alignmentPrepare and track submittals, RFIs, contracts, and all required project documentationIdentify and resolve jobsite, schedule, and contract-related challengesOversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall profitabilityDevelop and maintain project schedules using appropriate scheduling toolsInterpret construction documents including drawings, specifications, and blueprintsMaintain effective document control and project communication practicesBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and community stakeholdersSupport a collaborative team environment focused on accountability, trust, and shared successQualification Requirements5+ years of construction project management experience with a commercial general contractorExperience managing ground-up and tenant improvement commercial construction projectsStrong understanding of commercial construction methods including wood frame, steel, masonry, tilt-wall, post-tension, and pre-engineered metal buildingsKnowledge of contract delivery methods including Lump Sum, GMP, Design-Build, and Cost PlusExperience managing project budgets, schedules, and documentationProficiency with construction management software such as Procore (preferred), scheduling tools, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to read and interpret construction documents and blueprintsStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsOSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain prior to startDisqualifiersLess than 5 years of commercial construction project management experienceNo experience supporting commercial general contractor projectsNo exposure to ground-up or tenant improvement constructionLack of experience managing budgets, schedules, and project documentationEmployee Value PropositionWell-established commercial general contractor with the largest backlog in company history extending well into 2027Approximately 70% repeat client business with dedicated business development supportStrong reputation for quality, safety, and employee satisfaction at both regional and national levelsTeam-oriented culture emphasizing accountability, collaboration, and long-term career growthJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43.00 - $58.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
