Overview
In this role you design and implement algorithms for guidance, navigation and control of aerospace vehicles across flight regimes. You work within a cross-functional team to develop robust control requirements and verify performance through simulations and testing. You apply advanced math and state estimation to simulate physical reality and ensure mission success. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, implement, verify and test GN&C algorithms for aircraft, spacecraft and launch vehiclesHandle navigation processes including data processing and simulation of physical systemsFormulate guidance equations and control laws to reach target positions in spaceDevelop control requirements for flight vehicles and analyze control performanceWork across simulation, HWIL and flight-test environments to validate softwareCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate software and hardware
Key requirementsBS in Electrical Engineering (or related STEM field) and 5+ years of relevant experienceStrong mathematics including linear algebra, dynamics, coordinate transforms and state estimationExperience with simulation/test environments (6-DOF IFS, HWIL, flight tests)Proficiency in Git and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, FORTRAN or AdaExcellent written and verbal communication; ability to work collaborativelyUS Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearancestrong communicationcollaborative teamworkproblem-solving mindsetMATLABPythonC++
