Details Hospital-based Medical unit with 50 beds Adult med/surg patient population (ages 18 and over) Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 Floating may be required to surgical, pediatric, or transitional care units Variable shift schedule with day or night shift availability (TBD); must be flexible with various shift lengths and days 36 hours per week scheduled (following orientation week) Meditech EMR and Pyxis in use Equipment includes wound vacs, chest tubes, and related med/surg tools Requirements Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer BLS required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of med/surg or higher-level acute care experience required Must be flexible with variable shift lengths and scheduling Additional Information All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of assignment; this appointment is scheduled at the facility's Employee Health department and attendance is mandatory — plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend the Friday morning appointment Orientation is included during the first full week of the assignment Professional nursing attire required; no specific scrub color requirement; closed-toe shoes required No holiday RTO requests will be accommodated 15-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-687970.
