Corporate/Heath Law Associate Attorney

Bleakley Platt & Schmidt, LLP is seeking an associate attorney to work in the firm’s Corporate Practice and Health Practice Groups. The firm is over 89 years old with a well-established reputation as a preeminent law firm serving the Hudson Valley region. This is a partnership track opportunity.  The successful candidate would assist on corporate matters for diverse businesses relating to entity formation, partnership and LLC matters, finance and venture capital, governance and compliance, complex commercial contracts, and mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. In addition, he or she would represent clients in the health industry, including hospitals, large physician groups, pharmacies, clinical laboratories, and medical suppliers on transactional matters as well as on healthcare regulatory matters, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA and state data security laws. The position also involves working as outside counsel for several long-term clients. This position is ideal for a dynamic associate attorney who possesses excellent legal and interpersonal skills and wishes to practice corporate law and health law at a high level in a collegial atmosphere. Compensation is between $135,000 and $180,000 depending on credentials and experience. Potential performance-based bonuses.
