Role RequirementsYou must have direct experience in:Auditing certified payroll and identifying violationsCorrecting and amending certified payroll (WH-347 / CA forms)Fixing:MisclassificationsIncorrect wage determinationsFringe benefit deficienciesApprentice ratio violationsReconstructing and preparing compliance documentation to bring contractors currentMinimum Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)5+ years of California labor compliance experience2+ years in a lead or supervisory roleProven track record of audit and correction work (references required)Strong knowledge of:California Labor Code and DIR requirementsCertified payroll corrections and restitution processesExperience in both union and non-union environmentsPreferred QualificationsInflation Reduction Act Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (IRA PWA) experienceDavis-Bacon Act knowledgeExperience handling active violations, withholdings, or audit findingsKey ResponsibilitiesAudit certified payroll across all contractor tiersIdentify and document compliance failuresAmend payroll and correct deficienciesPrepare supporting documentation for compliance verificationBring non-compliant contractors into audit-ready conditionWork in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and speed are criticalPositioningSubmitting payroll is reporting.
