Your sense of urgency and dedication to excellence in a fast-paced environment will not only support patient recovery but also fuel your own career advancement.This 32 bed telemetry monitored unit houses PCU level of care with some medical/telemetry overflow as well. This is our primary stroke unit that also manages respiratory and cardiac patients. This unit is staffed at a 1:3-4 patient ratio consistent with national standards of care.Essential DutiesProvides continuous cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition and intervention.Initiates and titrates multiple, complex cardiac related infusions at higher doses.Manages high flow & bipap patients.Manages patients with acute neurological/neurosurgical events.Job RequirementsRequiredGraduation from an accredited school of nursing upon hire1-2 years med/surg experience orNew graduate with completion of senior practicum in a specialty area i.e: Critical Care, ED, PACU or, for those with no previous PCU/ICU experience, must successfully complete the PCU residency or the critical care residency programRegistered Nurse: WA, upon hireCurrent American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.
