Job Title: Data Informatics Analyst 3 Location: Sunnyvale California - RemoteDuration: 5+ MonthsDescription:Data Informatics Analyst: Generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts. Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources. May create specifications for reports based on business requests.This role serves as a technical resource for People Analytics organization. The role will develop and modify reports and dashboards, provide connections to new and existing data sources, prepare data for use in Tableau, develop extracts, publish data sources and workbooks, develop custom scripts, coordinate releases of data and workbooks, as well as perform complex technical tasks such as integration with R.This position requires understanding the requirements end to end and creating dashboards that meet all the expectations and are scalable for any future modifications. Primary responsibility includes :1. Identify new requirements.2. Define security and data model for the dashboards.3. Coordinate with the EDW team to create an agile and scalable backend data model with security for the dashboard.4. Develop new dashboards or modify existing tableau dashboards in line with the interactive data visualization best practices.5. Responsible for end to end data validation, regression testing and unit testing6. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), go live and post production hypercare/maintenance7. Expert in design thinking and the prototyping process8. Monitor extract schedules, resolve any performance issues9. Provide tier 1 support to Tableau issues reported by users10. Build and Monitor usage report for workbooks11. Collibra documentationEducation + Experience:Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of tableau development and data visualization experience, working closely with the EDW team on People Analytics.Or Master's degree and 2+ years of tableau development and data visualization experience, working closely with the EDW team on People Analytics.1. Excellent analytical skills with keen eye for details2. Ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple, logical and impactful manner3. Able to work with professionals having diversified backgrounds in virtual collaboration environment4. Good at problem solving/team player5. Experience in mapping business requirements to functional and technical specs, and delivering reports6. Expertise in handling data across various sources like Snowflake, Oracle, SmartRecruiter & others by incorporating appropriate data blending techniques7. Expertise in identifying data related inconsistencies, gaps and effectively communicating with Data Engineering and Business Teams8. Experience in effective use of data blending, filters, actions, Hierarchies features in Tableau9. Knowledge in Tableau Administration Tool about configuration, adding users, managing licenses and data connections, scheduling tasks10. Strong understanding of Data warehouse concepts, ETL, Star Schema, Snowflake, data modeling experience11. Hands on expertise in embedding Tableau dashboards in other applications
