Management, Scientific, and Technical Consulting ServicesEducational Support ServicesComputing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related ServicesBusiness Support ServicesWired and Wireless Telecommunications (except Satellite)Role : Data EngineerLocation : RemoteHire type : ContractRate : $62/hr.Indents :SF_OP_203238-1-1SF_OP_203238-1-2SF_OP_203238-1-3What You'll Be Working On:Ingesting raw infrastructure and monitoring data from tools such as:DC Track, NetBox, Shipyard, Kentik, ThousandEyes, Electric EelPagerDuty, Sentry, internal alerting systemsModeling and transforming that data within Snowflake to support consistent analyticsBuilding data models and views to support:GPU and CPU capacity snapshots (hourly, daily, weekly)Real-time and historical Top-K alert and response visibilitySignal-to-noise metrics, SLA tracking, and incident traceabilityEnabling visualization through Looker and Grafana for different stakeholder audiencesSupporting "What-If" modeling scenarios for forecasting infrastructure runwayWhat We'll Expect From You:Build scalable data pipelines to collect and transform structured and unstructured operational dataDefine Snowflake schemas and transformation logic to support current and future reporting use casesCollaborate with engineering, SRE, Capacity, and operations teams to align on source systems and field mappingsSupport interim manual data ingestion efforts while longer-term automation is developedProactively identify data quality issues and improve reliability of dashboard inputsMove fast, iterate weekly, and help validate early dashboard concepts into production-grade systemsSkills & Experience:Strong experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse platforms)Proficient in SQL and data modeling best practicesExperience building data pipelines using Python, dbt, or similar toolsFamiliarity with Looker, Grafana, or other BI tools for dashboardingExperience working with infrastructure, alerting, or monitoring systems is a strong plusAbility to work in an iterative, fast-paced environment with minimal oversightStrong communication and collaboration skills, particularly with distributed teams
