Director US TV Production FP&ABackfill for FP&A team Onsite in CUL 3-4 days/week Exempt FLSASony Pictures Television (SPT) is one of the television industry's leading content providers, producing, distributing, and carrying programming worldwide in every genre and for every platform. The TV production financial planning and analysis (FP&A) team sits at the nexus of financial information for SPT. The FP&A team builds financial forecasts, maintains TV ultimates for all of SPT's domestic productions, and supports business affairs and senior management in deal negotiations and business analysis. In pursuit of these goals, the FP&A team liaises with other finance groups within the organization, such as production finance, distribution finance, audit, accounting, technical accounting, billings, corporate reporting, and residuals & participations, as well non-finance groups like the creative, business affairs, and programming teams. The team is looking for a Director to backfill a staff member while on a project.Responsibilities:Reports directly to the SVP Finance as well as another long standing Director and manages a team of one to two professionalsResponsible for managing the financial planning process, including reviewing ultimates, financial modeling and consolidating for the US TV Production Division. This includes mid-range plan, quarterly forecast, and budget processesReview series Ultimates for purposes of forecasting, deal analysis, & financial reporting in accordance with IFRSWorks closely with the Senior Management, Strategy & Operations Finance, & Business Affairs team in the financial scenario modeling for content strategyMaintain appropriate controls within the planning and ultimate process as requiredComplete special projects for operations and finance as necessaryRequirements:BS/BA degree with accounting/finance focus required8+ years public accounting, consulting, investment banking or Entertainment industry finance/accounting experience requiredCPA and/or MBA preferredEntertainment experience preferredBPC, SAP and/or Essbase knowledge preferredManagement experience preferredStrong MS Excel skills requiredStrong communication skills requiredStrong accounting / IFRS knowledge preferredStrong initiative and ability to manage multiple projectsDetail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and PC skillsAbility to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExcellent oral and written communication skills with all levels of management
