Records & Compliance Advisor

Entity: People, Culture & CommunicationsJob Family Group: HR GroupJob Description: This role assists the People & Culture (P&C) department with various administrative and compliance-related tasks and regularly communicates with management and team members. Key Accountabilities:Drives compliance excellence in the United States, with a focus on California laws and regulationsWorks regularly to gather P&C documents requested by the legal teamReviews P&C documents and summarizes them based on instructions provided by legal counselCollaborates with legal and P&C team members to interpret records and determine adherence to government and regulatory requirementsCoordinates and maintains reporting in accordance with established requirements and to align with  deadlinesStays informed of applicable regulations, including updates to federal and state laws and regulationsRegularly provides analysis and evaluation of information and documentation and communicates observations and recommendationsHandles sensitive information with discretion and professionalismAssists in the review of compliance trainingSupports other compliance activities, including training, monitoring and audit procedures, reporting investigation procedures, or other tasks as assignedResponds to internal and external P&C-related inquiries and requestsUtilizing HRIS systems, prepares reporting to identify potential compliance concernsCommunicates regularly with field managers via email, occasionally communicating via phonePerforms HRIS data entry and updates, occasionallyPerforms special projects, as directedPrepares letters, spreadsheets, reports and memosQualificationsHuman Resources, compliance, or related professional experienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceExceptional attention to detail and critical thinking skills, organizational skills, and time management abilitiesExperience in multi-state retail organizations, with preferred California experienceHigh level of proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel and WordAbility to learn quicklyAdvanced written and verbal communication skills.Working Conditions / Physical RequirementsIn this role, the team member is continuously sitting and typing, frequently talking and using eye and hand coordination and may also be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The team member is frequently required to lift and/or move objects lifting 10 to 55 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
