Mechanical Technician Job Locations US-AL-Huntsville ID 2026-18327 Overview Element has an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE Responsibilities Interpretation of internal and client requirements Supervising allocated staff and being responsible for the day to day management of the relevant discipline Operating complex mechanical testing equipment Maintaining accurate and systematic records Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment Report writing, data interpretation and analysis Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safety Performs duties comparable to that of a Senior Technician, utilizing the added skills and knowledge that comes with earning an Associate's or bachelor's degree in a testing-related field Designs, sets-up and performs a variety of test according to customer specifications and requirements Requires minimal supervision and technical input of a Principal Technician, Project Coordinator or Test Engineer Possess the ability to mentor and train technicians who have less experience through effective communication of technical data Ability to transfer technical knowledge/requirements and successfully satisfy and meet customer specifications Physical Demands Ability to work overtime and weekends on occasion Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate) Lifting requirements: lifting 50 lbs. on occasion Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
