A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - OR/n/nJob Details:/n• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver call responsibilities/n• Handle other surgical cases when no liver/transplant procedures are scheduled/n• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts/n• On-call requirement of 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month/n• Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience with actual organ placement experience, not just harvesting/n• Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment/n• 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required/n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (must have at submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)/n• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required/n• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations/n• Participate in teaching responsibilities with students and new staff/n• Complete 40 hours of orientation/n• Must complete EKG and pharmacy tests during orientation with maximum of 2 attempts each/n• Complete time-sensitive modules averaging 6-15 hours (non-billable)/n• Scrub color requirement: Ceil Blue/n• Must be nicotine-free with negative 10-panel plus nicotine drug screen required/n• Epic charting system experience preferred/n• All time off requests must be submitted upfront with initial application/n/nFacility:/nThis is a 230-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital that specializes in complex surgical procedures including transplant services. The facility operates 18 operating rooms with a daily census of 55-60 patients and maintains Magnet status.
