Job Title: Commercial Glazier - Lead InstallerJob Description: J&A Glass is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to fill the role of Commercial Glazier -Lead Installer. This is a full-time position, with a competitive starting wage and opportunities for advancement within a growing company. The ideal candidate should have construction experience with framing, using power tools, measuring accurately, caulking and especially glazing experience.Responsibilities:Lead or assist on site measure visits to ensure proper sized material for fabrication and orderingClean and prepare work areas or job sites as needed or instructedLoad, offload, and deliver materials to work sitesLead in the installation of glass, storefront/curtain wall, and doors with closers and thresholdsProblem solve to ensure project progress and successFollow instructions from the site Foreman and Project ManagersLead onsite installers by communicating project goals and tasks as neededLayout and install brake metal as neededIdentify and report issues with work material on siteCreate and maintain daily reports to ensure high level communication between field and officeMaintain a safe and clean work environmentRequirements:Comfort using hand and power tools2-10+ years of commercial glazing experienceValid ID and driver's license free of major accidents and DUIsMust be 18 years of age or olderAbility to lift up to 70 poundsMust be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitudeMust communicate from a place leadership showing strong emotional maturity throughoutMust possess basic work tools and work well with others (specialty tools provided by J&A)Be quickly trained for forklift license, and boom lift/scissor lift certificationAbility to read and interpret shop drawingsMust be willing to work in all weather conditions and travel to work sites out of the area as neededBenefits:Competitive starting wageOpportunities for advancement within the company.Full-time position401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time off after 60 days employmentVision insurance$200 Boot ReimbursementCompany work vehicleA job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to applyOpen to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED or college diplomaA good job for someone who is sick of playing the layoff game and wants continuous workWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements:Typical hours for this position are from 6:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.Overtime as requiredMust follow Company uniform requirementsMust be able to work in all weather conditionsMust be able to lift up to 70 poundsAbout J&A Glass & Mirror Inc.At J&A Glass, we pride ourselves on being a leading provider of comprehensive glass and glazing solutions.
